Prophet Abraham was not
convinced of the existence of his god in spite
of talking to him. (Does that make him a
skeptic?). Abraham was right is asking for
more evidence. I am not asking for anything
more.
A GOD---- who was
interested in human affairs, that he sent
hundreds of prophets, a few thousand years
ago. There were prophets in almost every
neighborhood in Israel. The population of the
world was not more than 100 million at that
time. Now its around 6 billion. Should not God
be more concerned and send more prophets now.
Does it make any sense what so ever to stop
sending prophets.? Allah was not interested in
people of China or India but only in middle
East. China and India being the populated
place was interestingly left out of the divine
plan. Moreover in the past God use to be
present in human affairs, even use to wrestle
in Old testament.
Few years back when the
Taliban destroyed the Buddhist statues, few of
my friends got upset and started talking about
tolerance in Islam. I brought to their notice
that this is not the first time it happened.
Prophet Muhammad himself destroyed the idols
in Kabbah.I don't see much difference between
the two events.
The whole scenario is
much more easier to comprehend if taken in
cultural and historical context. The sooner
human beings come out of this neonatal phase
the better.
