Pakistan’s Disorder – Another Fine Mess Created By Uncle Sam

Janab Pervaiz Sahib

Even though much duplication in my this letter compared to the one I posted here
last time, I apologize, for bothering you. But it has some additional comments,
which I did not include last time.

I wrote this letter for a paper prior to the one I posted in this discussion. I just
cut and paste.

My Dear Pakistani Friends

My name is Jawaid Chaudhry.

As we all know, right now Pakistan is going through rough times.

At this time, like all other times in the past, Pakistan is not in good hands. Many
Pakistanis believe that Miss Bhutto must not be allowed to take control of Pakistan.
Every one knows that she has twice failed miserably. Like her father she is not
sincere to Pakistan. It does not fail to amaze me that lots of people are supporting
her. There is no shortage of even the most highly educated Pakistanis who wish to
install Miss Bhutto yet again, as the Head of the State. Are such people friends of
Pakistan?

Perhaps we could visualize the situation with the following comparison. Imagine a
piece of fertile land, and two farmers A and B. The land cultivated by yet another
farmer, C, the rightful hardworking owner of the land. Farmer A would rob the farmer
C and take off, leaving nothing or little in the C'S hand. Farmer C still has his
land. He can grow something again in his farm. Perhaps he can come up with an idea
to make it more secure to protect its safety.

Farmer B would also rob the farmer C, but more brutally, leaving nothing in C'S
hands and before leaving will also burn the land so that nothing grows in it future.
In this case the farm is destroyed for ever, and so is farmer C.

Given the two options, I think Farmer C will opt, however so most reluctantly, in
the favour of farmer. A.

As you can guess, I'm suggesting that the current regime is much lesser an evil than
Miss Bhutto. She wants to finish off what her father started, the destruction of
Pakistan.

Miss Bhutto is a puppet of foreign forces. Pakistan must not trust her. I can see
that she will finish Pakistan off in more than one ways. She must be avoided at all
costs.

This is also no less a relevant time to ask one basic question about the Pakistani
Political system.

In this current technically most advanced period we have jet planes, Internet,
satellite television systems, etc. If I live in a remote spot in Siberia, with
Internet I can communicate with any one on any spot on this earth. Political,
social, economic and all other information is in my lap [top]. One can learn and
up-date anything and everything. Same is true about Pakistanis. Yet, why do
Pakistanis insist on remaining in stone-aged political style?

Why do so many highly educated Pakistanis even allow Miss Bhutto to be their leader?
Why do so many other educated people claim that Mr. Sharif should be their leader?
Same question we can ask yet another highly educated group of people about Army. If
these three people did not exist, would Pakistan also not exit? Do we not have
another one hundred and sixty million people in Pakistan? What is so special about
these three "leaders"? Or may I ask what is so un-special about rest of the 160,
000,000 [but not feudal] Pakistanis?
May the answer be in the Pakistani political system and the general [education or no
education] Pakistani mentality?

As we see the system today, when there is time for a regime to "go", suddenly
already tried and badly failed "leaders" show up, and too many of us allow them in.
The only ones who forcefully with guns in their hands allow themselves in are the
armed forces. This must change.

This means that system must change. Who will change the system? Pakistanis.

The system must eliminate the likes of Bhutto, Sharif,  fuedals, and armed forces
exploiters.

Another factor must be considered. That is religion. Religion must be excluded from
Pakistani political system.

Without going into much detail I recommend for Pakistan
1. Confiscate all the Fuedal's land and make it national property.
2. Make Pakistan a secular state.
3. Mass deregulation is a must
4. Make Pakistan a duty free country
5. Immediately follow the UAE model
6. Immediately make a pact or some sort of pact with Iran.
7. Immediately make a peace pact with India
8. Reduce Armed forces

The above suggestion are only a sample.

Also, very importantly I recommend that leadership be chosen through party
convention systems, not from top and not through inheritance. Pakistan does not
belong to one family or few families. It belongs to Pakistanis. Electoral system
must change.

Who's going to do this? Not Bhutto. Not Sharif. Not at all. Musharraf? May be. My
recommendation is that he does it. So far Pakistan has not had one like him. If
Musharraf does not do it, then we must seek another person as suggested from the
model above, through party convention system. Lots more to discuss and do about
this, but another time.

I'm sure there are many good people, Pakistanis in and out of Pakistan. Lets pick a
young man or woman who has a good head, and who has what it takes. Pakistanis are
ready. Lets unite and go forward.
