murders and crimes committed by non-muslims non-asians
non-Pakistanis and wondered why their religion, nationalities and
place of origin is not mentioned by the western media. She
re-wrote those stories to prove her point. Well done. Now try to
counter these stories from non islamic aspect.

RIYADH, 18 July 2005 — A statement that has warned against
the dangers of allowing women to drive in Saudi Arabia was
released on the Internet on Friday. More than 100 sheikhs,
imams, judges, Islamic scholars, Islamic university
teachers, several heads of Promotion of Virtue and
Prevention of Vice centers in the Kingdom, as well as some
teachers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s
Mosque in Madinah signed the statement.
They also said in the statement that the ruling in Islam
that “closing all doors leads to corruption” was clear and
was for the protection of people and society. “Women driving
cars is not permissible because the ruling of ‘closing doors
that leads to corruption’ applies to it directly.”
The statement also said that those who say allowing women to
drive would be beneficial in some ways forget the ruling in
Islam that if the act derives more misdeeds, then it is
ruled as not permissible.
Rubina can you write this story changing Islam to say

Ruling jolts even Saudis: 200 lashes for rape
victim
A Saudi court on Tuesday more than doubled the number of lashes
that a female rape victim was sentenced to last year after her
lawyer appealed the original sentence
Her case has been widely debated since the court sentenced her to
90 lashes a year ago for being in the same car as an unrelated
man, even after it ruled that she had subsequently been raped. For
a woman to be in seclusion with a man who is not her husband or a
relative is a crime in Saudi Arabia, whose legal code is based on
a strict Wahhabi interpretation of Islamic law.
The young woman's offense was in meeting a former boyfriend, whom
she had asked to return pictures he had of her because she was
about to marry another man. The couple was sitting in a car when a
group of seven men kidnapped them and raped them both, lawyers in
the case told Arab News, a Saudi newspaper.
