Hello
friends,
To begin with, let me say that I do not want to convince any
member/reader about the truth and rituals in religion, as claimed
and desired to be seen in practice by most faith carrying people
around us. However, one thing I know for sure that any line of faith
attempted to be imposed in any society is bound to meet failure
c'ause of various reasons and worst among them is that once a single
faith is put into administrative mechanism, it is impossible to
maintain a level of justice to all of its citizens. Sharia is your
private affair and you keep it up to yourself. If someone thinks
that he has been sent in this world to prepare himself for life
after, he should confine himself to his belief and enjoy the beauty
of next world but please do not ask others to follow you. To my
mind, practice of faith is a personal and secondary issue but code
of morality (humanity) is the main struggle and it must be the main
objective of a religion or society. It is sad but true that our
clerics have not been able to learn this aspect which is loved by
nature through the evolution of thousand of years in itself. It did
not come to us easily.
Coming to the lunatic act of Aqsa's father, He comes from a place in
Pakistan known as Swat where a movement is underway for
Talbanization or Islamization in their region. To contribute his
share, he attempted to impose sharia at home resulting in killing of
his daughter and joining in demands of clerics of Swat. He did that
in a wrong society which has a charter of rights in place and he
would have to go through the usual process of justice. My heart
bleeds for this girl but I have no sympathy for his act of
barbarism.
Regards.
