I immigrated from Pakistani society where values are much
different from the ones I found in Canada. My traumatic cultural
shock did not hit me right away. It was emotionally slow and
intellectually daunting.
I grew up being beaten by my parents, brothers, relatives,
teachers for obviously 'right' reasons as they were not out
there to get me.
I grew up seeing women not being equal to men in any respect
from making a decision about their marriage-partner to
sidesaddling on bikes, from not being able to get out of the
house without a 10-year old male brother to society awfully
looking down upon unveiled women.
It's a society where parents own their children and their flesh
for all practical purpose, it's a society where domestic
violence is almost never reported and marital rape does not even
exist as a crime in the books.
It's a society where any 'mishaps' while instilling religious
and moral values into children are considered collateral and are
almost always overlooked by government and people.
As I said before, it's practically a society full of fathers and
brothers being STEVEN SEGALS OF VAGINAS paradoxically making the
female members the most vulnerable segment.
Then we move here and with us we bring our Little Pakistan and
our enshrined values knowing as propagated that Canada is a
multicultural and diverse country which allows you to be
yourself!
False!! It is NOT. In fact, Canada is completely the opposite.
Its multiculturalism and diversity end with freedom to offer
prayers, fasting, Hajj, Halal Chicken- you know the benign
religious stuff - However, with Government 'owning' your
children and strictly controlling what you can and can not do
with your children in the name of their freedom, individuality
and human rights, it completely throws us off. What? I can't
even beat my own child to discipline him/her? What? I can't
force her to wear what I want her to wear? She can go out
front-naked as it's legal and I can't touch her? What kind of
fucking country is this?
I honestly think that people should not be deluded into
believing that they are coming to a country where religious
beliefs are protected and fostered. Quran allows husband to hit
and discipline his wives in certain circumstances, however, this
Quranic teaching is ILLEGAL in Canada. Homosexuals are supposed
to be stoned in Islam - that's our heritage, our core value
there - however, here they are not only roaming free but also
protected under law and can even marry. Unbelievable!
Netherlands recently added new rules into their citizenship act
where they let new immigrants know and sign off that individual
freedom, gender equality, no domestic violence, legal
prostitution including nudity and homosexuality are part of core
western values - Beware.
I think it's the responsibility of Canadian government to ensure
that future immigrants are fully aware of and sign off knowing
that their daughter, in Canada, has a legal right to be a
hedonistic promiscuous lesbian nudist slut denouncing Islam and
if you touch her, the government will give you Holy Quran to
recite while they throw you in the prison.
Just let them know before they come here, folks, even though
buyer beware, indeed.
