It is a
very balanced and well written article, that takes into account
almost every aspect of the subject, except the traditional religious
kind of Qazi's
fatwas. The arguments were carried so smoothly to their logical
conclusion that need for fatwas did not arise, otherwise Qazi
sahib's name had the full allowance for that. Democracy the word
being used more often than God
seems to be the "new
religion" of new colonialism and
prejudices, corruption and bloodshed being carried out in its name
is no less than any other systems tried by the human history. If any
thing does not go in the favour of one single powerful
nation on this earth then the opinion of the majority of nations
does not matter. It still remains a musical chair game of the
Multimillionaires for the Multimillionaires and and has not
been able to provide the expected benefits to people of this
earth by the people of this earth.
Unless democracy
provides Global Justice for whole Mankind. Not for just one class of
people in one nation and their rules of justice would not change for
any colour or origin, the democracy will not succeed. There
has to be some other way. Blind following of West or
East, Priest or Politicians is equally destructive. The pitiable
situation today is that the media rules with half fabricated
stories..
