Dear
Friends:
Three cheers for Aziz
Ahmed of Philadelphia for his excellent
post (#55) in which he quotes a fellow
Philadelphian as saying that Prophet Muhammad "would not have been angered
by the Danish cartoons, nor would he have asked his followers to go on a
rampage in protest."
It is rather pathetic that Muslims profess an abiding love and affection
for Muhammad yet they do not think twice about burning embassies and
threatening to kill people.
By reacting the way they do time and time again, Muslims have
actually "done more damage to the name of the Prophet Muhammad than the
Danish cartoons” or all the slandering by the propaganda mills of
Christianity.
Allow me to share with you the words of Dr Robert Buckman, a cancer
specialist and professor in the Department of Medicine at the University
of Toronto and author of the best-selling book,
CAN WE BE GOOD WITHOUT GOD?:
"Perhaps it is fair to say that it doesn't matter so much what you believe
as how you behave. If you happen to hold the finest theological beliefs
there are, and if you understand all the very best and most detailed
divine precepts and commandments, but in your daily life you are actually
angry, shouting and inhumane, then that's the way you will be remembered.
Believing is all very well, but behaving is what you are judged by and
will be remembered by."
