MUSLIM SENSIBILITY & FREEDOM OF SPEECH

Najeeb Kazmi

Dear Mr. Karmally,

Your grief over the death of people is justified, but I am glad that you at least consider violence a "bad judgment". However, one feels sorry for people who otherwise appear normal, to side with the "bad judgment". You are expected to at least stay neutral and not forget that it is a turf war between two warlords and poor innocent bystanders are being killed in crossfire.

Do you know that it is not only US who is a stakeholder in Iraq. A number of countries, are fanning hatred based on their own version of Islam, being Persian or Arabic. Armed bandits are being armed and abetted by these stakeholders, resulting in the death and destruction of thousands of people.

....and don't forget that  someone also bombed WTC and killed 3000 people in the heart of US. Those were also poor, innocent, hardworking, middle class people who died a miserable death.

If someone takes a neutral stand over these ongoing atrocities, it does not mean that one is a 'Muslim apologetic'. Hatred breeds hatred and the cycle of violence never ever ends. If we take sides and forget what our own people have done and what they are still doing, this would be a great disservice to the society.

I do not know if you have lived in Pakistan and witnessed the time when afghan warlords used Pakistan as their base and how President Zia used the Afghan Islamic thugs to butcher his own political and religious opponents by forming, arming and abetting the "Pak Afghan National Alliance (PANA)". You have seen nothing as yet. If you work and live in the arab world, you will come to know what are the roots of the "mindset". There is so much to talk and tell, but who listens, nowadays..........everyone has a custom made recipe, without actually understanding the dynamics of the situation.

Agreed that USA is a neo-colonialistic power, and their fight is only for resources and world dominance, to impose their own brand of imperialism. The other side also stands for "ghalba-e-Islam" and Islamic neo-colonialism, which is equally dangerous. Who is the victim of this turf war?.......you know already.
