MUSLIM SENSIBILITY & FREEDOM OF SPEECH

Najeeb Kazmi

My response to post # 024 from Javed Chaudry.

Mr. Javed I. Chaudry in his post # 024 to Don Joshua, talks about a phenomenon of “cause and effect” and is adamant not to share an iota of blame of criminal activities perpetuated in the name of one of the power brokers, who are in his opinion, the aggrieved party. Fact is that whatever, maybe the cause, it still does not justify, what he likes to call “effect”.

What he said, the big powers are doing, to control the oil in the central Asia and the Middle East, is true, but when he lists the “power brokers”, he should also list / include in bold fonts those who he loves to call “aggrieved”. I hope he could stretch his memory and recall the existence of more than 3.5 million dead bodies, buried under the Iraqi soil, victims of criminal Saddam and his other “Akhu-al-Arabi”, brothers. Just for his information, that was long before any multi-national forces landed in Iraq. The problem with the adjoining Arab dictators and other extremists is that they are having a hard time digesting the fact that for the first time in the history of Iraq, the “majority” groups(Kurds and Shia's), have started to share power, something which was always denied to them, and these extremists (with different names) are on  overtime to somehow destabilize the country, so that their “akhu-al-arabi” can return back in glory.

Mr. Javed !!!!!, People creating blood bath in the killing fields of Iraq are, were and included those thugs, for whom your sympathy appears to be phenomenal. To you, the collateral damage caused by your buddies is small, but you fail to see the near and distant past.

It is true that the world powers have played dirty games all over the world in the past, but similar games were played by the previous aggressors, who happened to be so-called Muslims, so that does not mean that we should blow up the whole world. No one amongst the extremist groups is really keen or is struggling to bring back the “lost glory” of Muslims. They actually want to revert back to the most hateful, aggressive, discriminatory and cruel form of governance (in the name of Islam).

So Mr. Javed, it is all about power. This is a turf war between two war lords for domination and we, the people, are innocent bystanders and victims.

To refresh your memory, when Timothy McVey took hundreds of innocent lives through his terrorist act, he did not blast the bomb, while reading the Holy Bible or ever claimed to be the “soldier of Christ”, who is fighting a holy war to establish the “order of Christ” , so the same rule cannot be applied to him as is being applied to your “aggrieved “party.

Yes !!, Mass murders are being committed and have been committed not only in the interest of the control of oil or geo-political gains, but also in the name of different screwed-up religious ideologies, ignorance, fascism, dominance and last but not the least, in the name of a “lethal mix of religion and state”. The main problem is that you fail to see the other side of the coin.

In the end, you state that “this forum has plenty of apologists, always ready to appease the likes of Mr. Jashua. This policy hardly provides any service to humanity”…… Picking your brains, you probably, think that you are doing a great service by unilaterally taking sides with those people, who are themselves a huge part of this living nightmare and this itself, for sure does not provide any service to humanity, something you accuse others of.
