If you remember, the discussion started about the riots associated with the protests against the cartoons. Especially the unprecedented intensity of the reactions in some countries leading to serious riots, causing several deaths and burning down an Embassy building. I do not believe any one of us on this forum has been against a peaceful protest.  

My argument has been and still is, that Islam has nothing to do with all that violence that took place. I agree that religious slogans have been used to excite the masses to create mischief. But it has nothing to do with Islamic ideology, but has every thing to do with some crooked religious or political leaders misleading and misusing the uneducated public.

If you wish, you can view this as ‘going in circles’, but I have nothing more to say on the subject. Moreover, I need some time to prepare for April 2 seminar, so I am retiring from this topic. No more posts from me on this topic.
