The Man Who Knew The Future Of Pakistan Before Its Creation

Family of the Heart - DIALOGUE & DISCUSSIONS

Dear Baqar Warsi Sahib,

While responding to your post, I remember a few lines from poet Mohsin Qidwai. He wrote, Jhoot ko sadaqat ki taaq mein sajaney valey khel layee hain puraney nayee aaney valey, Ofooque kay paas pohunchna mohal hain, Mohsin, tuu bhi reth mein qastiya chalaney lagi?

We have such divergent views that a memorandum of a minimum understanding is impossible. A few weeks before I saw an image of a grieving father who was carrying his 3 years old son’s body killed by a suicide bomber in Peshawar. I wonder who should be condemned first, the suicide bomber or the Danish cartoonist. If you think this reference is irrelevant I am respectfully withdrawing it.

By blaming America or the Zionists we will not be able to solve our problems. You can castigate me by any terms but my conscious is clear that I am not acting to prolong our pain. We need to come out of our frustrations to help ourselves. Religion is a product of reason which was perfectly manifested by the prophet in his life time. His teachings were forgotten or misinterpreted right after his demise by those who were very close to him during his life time. We saw khalifa’s assassinated; prophet’s grand son killed and sects were created forgetting his calls for the unity of the umma. Therefore the myth of any divinity in Islam does not hold any factual truth. The mission of faith was man and man transformed it and it will continue to transform throughout the ages.

Akbar Hussain
