Dr Salam was intelligent and accomplished person but this love thing for Pakistan is a bit overblown.
He spent most of his life outside the country.  He was given the top jobs in Pakistan.  Being the head of Atomic Energy Commission is quite a place.  But he left the job to make a political point.
 
That certainly puts a damper on this love claim.
