Quran will always be relevant because it
is believed by 1.2 billion people to be God’s word, but it truly
becomes relevant if it is proved to be the Word of God. For that it
has to first be proved that God exists, and that HE sent down this
book unaltered. It should also answer our most urgent questions
and solve our most pressing problems.
You and I have been deceived by atheists
and creationists and now demand indisputable proof.
Atheists defy basic logic by denying God just
because the creationists have not done a good job proving HIS
existence. If there are only two options, black and white, you can
prove it is black if you prove that it is not white. With three
options, yes, no or maybe, you cannot do this. They cannot prove God
does not exist so their flawed reasoning may possibly be ego, not
wanting to change their lifestyle, inability to find answers, silly
rituals promoted by creationists, unanswered prayers or because they
cannot see God.
Creationists rely on circumstantial evidence
and statements like ‘someone must have created all this’,
and if we did not believe in God there would be complete moral
breakdown, or that we would not have any hope of meeting our loved
ones. These are dumb attempts to prove God exists. They also tell us
Noah gathered all the animals on earth onto ONE boat.
Those who pursue with an open mind the option
that maybe God exists realize that there is a preponderance of
circumstantial evidence that is so compelling that it is very likely
that a creator exists.
- each of the billion trillion stars revolves
around a central body held together by gravity. The orbital speed,
and mass of star, speed of rotation and mass of the central body and
distance are all fine-tuned and if one of these changes, the star
will fly off its orbit The gravitation force is so precise that
according to British scientist Robin Collins, “if a ruler graded in
inches is laid across the universe, a distance of 14 billion
light years, the gravitation force occupies one particular
notch. Move it up or down one inch and anything bigger than a
pea would get crushed”. There are some 30 such precise constants in
the universe.
A little sand has trillions of atoms. Imagine
the atoms in the entire universe – you cannot. Each is moving in a
similar orbit, and they have about 114 different atomic weights and
several levels of electrons all fine -tuned in the same way.
There are some 70 trillion cells in the
human body, each with 3 billion pairs of DNA in an exact sequence.
Each of these cells is more than a factory, it is like a city. The
design is overwhelming.
For every painting there is an artist. If we
see a painting of the universe, there is an artist behind it. So
when we see the actual universe, can we deny there is a designer
behind it? If a robot with limited sight and hearing, cannot
detect you, do you not exist? Just because we cannot see God
is no reason to say HE does not exist.
There are 250 proteins needed for simple life,
each one having 4 exact sequences of DNA. What is the probability of
hitting these 4 sequences 250 times in succession? The new genetic
material associated with more complex life cannot be explained by
evolution.
Scientists rely on probability all the time yet
reject overwhelming odds of life happening by chance.
Mathematicians agree that for 84 cubes to fall
in a specific combination the probability diminishes to zero. Some
evolutionists have stated that the human gene and the monkey’s gene
are 90% similar. Even if it was 99%, there are 30,000,000
nucleotides that must be haphazardly arranged to change a monkey
into a human.
Darwin never explained where the single cell
came from or how life began, but Richard Dawkins theorizes that it
might be aliens that evolved to a very high degree and created the
first life form. This is not science but science fiction.
On the other hand Creationists give the
stupidest reasons for why we are here.
Adam and Eve ate a forbidden fruit – this does
not explain why you and I are here
We came here to multiply and do God’s work on
Earth? Well, why could we not do this in heaven?
God needed Jesus to save us from evil? Why, Is
God not all powerful? Can HE not defeat evil by Himself?
God wanted to see what we will do? Why, is God
not Omniscient?
Scientists and creationists cannot answer why
we are here, why the universe is so big, why only humans have free
will and rational thinking, and why we cannot see God. Other
questions, what is death like, who are the supernatural, is there an
afterlife, what is the purpose of our life, why the chaos and
misery, and how do the birds and animals fit in the master plan
cannot be answered convincingly, if at all..
So what kind of overwhelming proof do we need?
If your neighbor saw God and told you, would you believe it? If you
saw God, would your neighbor believe you? Of course not.
To arrive at absolute, universal proof we have
to first define it as,
1.
Not localized or individualized to a certain time,
location or person
2.
Proof that is indisputable, examinable and verifiable
so no doubt is left
3.
Proof that is physical and tangible
4.
Proof that is inimitable yet recognizable and
appreciable
5.
Proof that is acceptable by scientific and auditing
standards
6.
Proof that is simple enough to understand by people of
all ages, education and languages.
Every sentence has a mathematical structure.
The statement ‘How are you?’ has 9 letters and 3 words. To
change the structure slightly, to 10 letters but convey the same,
exact meaning requires work. It might not even be possible to make
a slight change to the structure and keep the same meaning.
How about changing more complex properties of
the structure? The following sentence: Jack and Jill went up the
hill has 2 ‘A’s and 4 ‘L’s. To change the sentence to have 3
‘A’s and 3 ‘L’s becomes increasingly difficult. ‘Jack’ and ‘Jill’
are proper nouns and cannot be changed. The word ‘up’ cannot be
changed to ‘over’, and ‘the’ cannot be changed to ‘a’ because this
would change the meaning.
Obviously as more restrictions are placed on
the mathematical structure the sentence becomes harder to construct,
and the quality of the literature deteriorates rapidly.
The opening statement of Quran “In the name of God Most Gracious
Most Merciful” has 19 letters and 4 words, each word occurring in
the book in multiples of 19. There are 6346 verses, 114 chapters,
all multiples of 19. 29 chapters, approximately half the Quran, are
prefixed with between 1 and 5 initials. In the chapters that they
prefix, the initials occur in multiples of 19. These chapters also
have words from the opening statement, so if one word is dropped,
both the initial count and the word count goes off. Just the
frequencies of H and M in chapters 40-46 form such a complicated
relationship that it would take a supercomputer 82.5 billion
years at 43 trillion calculations per second.
The Quran states in Chapter 74:30 “Over it is19” and gives 5 reasons
for this number.
The Quran’s superhuman code presents the first
scientific proof for the existence of God. But what good is it if it
does not give us all the answers to the questions raised. You may
agree or disagree with the following account but you cannot deny it
answers all the questions.
Before time
immemorial there was God. Then God created countless billions of
creatures, with free will to perform chores. God does not want
robots or slaves or force those who do not want to be with HIM.
One of God’s high ranking creatures, Satan, developed a supercilious
idea that he could run a dominion as an independent god besides
God. It was ego that led Satan to believe he could take care of a
dominion as a god and run it without disease, misery, war,
accidents and chaos. If God had banished Satan the other
creatures would have wondered why because they did not know Satan’s
internal thoughts. Only God, the Omniscient knew.
A vast majority of
God’s creatures disagreed with Satan but a minute egoistic minority,
still in the billions, agreed with him. A profound dispute erupted
in the Heavenly community and the rebel’s unjustifiable challenge to
God’s absolute authority was met and resolved most efficiently.
To disprove Satan,
God appointed him a temporary god on the tiny speck Earth in a
huge universe. Satan was to rule this far from God. God
willed to give the rebels a chance to denounce their crime, repent
and submit to HIS absolute authority. The vast majority of the
rebels took advantage of God’s gracious offer to re-enter HIS
kingdom. They agreed to kill their egos, come to this world as
animals, birds etc. to perform a submissive role as an expiation
for their blasphemy.
The hard core
rebels, humans and spirits refused to denounce their crime and opted
for witnessing a demonstration of Satan’s claim that he could
effectively run a kingdom. God could have put them all in hell by
expelling them from HIS kingdom but HE knew that some had been
swayed by peer pressure and did not deserve this harsh punishment.
They were divided in half, and the half that was less convinced of
Satan’s point of view became classified as humans. They were also to
serve as Satan’s subjects in this tiny kingdom of his.
Both the humans and
spirits are given a precious chance in this world to re-educate
themselves, denounce their egoism and redeem themselves by
submitting to God’s absolute authority in this life and
enjoy perfect health, wealth and security. To carry out
this extremely merciful plan of redemption God, The Most
Merciful,
created death. The divine plan called for bringing the rebels
into another existence, where they have no recollection of the
heavenly feud. The humans and spirits receive both God’s messages
and Satan’s messages then freely choose between either side. Based
on their freewill decision they are either redeemed back to
God’s kingdom or become permanently exiled with Satan in the
absence of God.
The body of the
first human was shaped on earth by God’s angels. God then assigned
the first person, Adam, to that body. Adam’s mate was cloned from
Adam and God assigned the second human being to her body. The rest
is history.
To help the humans in their final chance to
reconsider their blasphemy, every person is born with the
instinctive knowledge that God Alone and no one else is our Lord and
Master. God sent scriptures and messengers to help. Thus the only
unforgivable offence (if maintained until death) is idol worship:
believing that anyone besides God possesses any power . The
human being is given several years to study, look around, reflect
and examine all points of view before making this most important
decision.
The relevance of Quran is multi-faceted and
includes scientific facts like the big bang, egg shape of the
earth, theory of the expanding universe etc. There is accurate
history including who Jesus was and what happened to him – something
Jews and Christians still dispute. Then there is a criminal justice
system that helps victims, saves lives and eliminates the
expensive prison system. The criminal compensates the victim
and takes care of his/her own family. Also there is a political
system based on consensus through mutual consensus and freedom of
expression, not a thin majority ruling over a large,
dissatisfied minority. Based on Quran we could build great nations
where there is freedom of religion, expression, travel and
economy. There would be guaranteed human rights for all
regardless of race, color, creed, social and financial status or
political affiliation. An economic system based on constant
circulation of wealth, no usury and productive investment would
ensure prosperity for all.
Quran advocates righteousness and prohibits
sin. Righteousness is what helps us and others and sin is what hurts
us and others, so naturally this formula benefits us. The religious
practices decreed are for our own good. The prayer prevents
backaches and strokes, while fasting lowers blood pressure and
cholesterol and detoxifies the body. Following the moral guidelines
in Quran would create a society that upholds the highest
standards of moral behavior. There will be a strong family, no
alcoholism, no illicit drugs, no illegitimate pregnancies, no
abortions and practically no divorce. Finally there would be
maximum regard for people’s lives and properties.
In summary, backed by proof it is the word of
God and providing answers to our most urgent questions and
solutions to our most pressing problems, I would conclude the
Quran to be extremely relevant in the 21st
century.
