Choudhry Sahib:
First of all, we have to
understand that whatever opinions we have about Saddam
and his legacy; it is not going to make any difference
at all. It is only people of Iraq who will decide on
his legacy, I mean those unfortunate people who had to
go through four devastating wars during Saddam's era
and, as a result, it cost human race hundreds of
thousands Iraqi and non-Iraqi lives. I believe that
all the learned and well-informed readers of this
forum will agree that he lost all the wars he started,
didn't he? ( If you want you can say SADDAM DIDN'T WIN
ANY WAR he started, I have no objection!)
You write:
"Saddam Hussein will be
remembered as the lion that rose from Tikrit, the land
of Salahuddin. Yes, the same Saladin, the Crusaders'
nightmare. And that land will produce more like
them."
I think in above lines, you are
comparing Saddam with Sultan Salah Uddin Ayubi, a man
who spent his whole life in fighting against
crusaders, right! I never heard or observed that
Saddam ever fought against any crusaders! In fact, he
only invaded his neighbor Muslim sovereign states, the
first one was Shia and the second was Sunni( of
course, you always have a reason to kill someone!)
Choudhry Sahib, if you want, I can send you a video
link in which this THIEF of Baghdad ( you have full
right to call him a Lion!) is meeting with Rumsfeld,
today’s crusader, with a big smile on his face,
because today's crusader ( yesterday's friends) had
arrived in Baghdad as a U.S. envoy for Baghdad, and
this today’s crusader i.e. Rumsfeld had come there to
assure Saddam Al-Tikriki for Washington's (
Crusaders') full support against his enemy i.e.
Islamic Republic of Iran! It is clearly written in the
history books that before he invaded another Islamic
country i.e. Kuwait, he met with the Crusaders'
representative i.e. U.S. Ambassador April Glaspie and
sought her opinion about his conflict with Kuwait.
An excerpt from L.A. Times's
article.
"In July 1990, U.S. Ambassador to
Baghdad April Glaspie told Hussein that Washington had
“no opinion on Arab-Arab conflicts, like your border
disagreement with Kuwait,” a statement she later
regretted."
Now, we all see how your lion was
trapped by Crusaders! After his Kuwait adventure,
Muslims' holy land became a permanent residence of
Crusaders, practically controlling Arab’s resources,
is it not true? By the way, who is responsible for
this debacle? George Bush Sr.? I leave it up to our
learned readers' conscience and wisdom.
Now let's recollect what happened
during the first day of U.S. occupation of Iraq. Bush
asked this family of butchers to leave Iraq within 24
hours. It was not a message for Saddam, but it was a
message for Iraqi Army, and we all saw how brutally
U.S. bombarded this unfortunate nation once again. On
CNN, when a news anchor asked a U.S. soldier in
Baghdad about any resistance, in a few words, he
explained the whole situation, "It was a wonderful
three and half hour drive from Kuwait to Baghdad!"
It suddenly dawned upon us that
NOT A SINGLE army man wanted to fight for Saddam Al-Tikriti,
Qusay the butcher, and Uday the rapist. Of course,
brave soldiers of Iraq could fight for Iraq, but not
for a cabal of thieves and criminals. By the way,
where did you see a crusade fought by Saddam and his
infamous sons?
Please enlighten us when and
where exactly he fought against any crusaders? I am
sure that you fully understand the meaning of word
'fighting'.
Choudhry Sahib, you will
definitely agree that George Bush is one of the most
hated person on the planet, won’t you? It is just to
inform you that Bush and Saddam Al-Tikriki have the
same qualification: BOTH INVADED TWO MUSLIM COUNTRIES
and wrought havoc there! I am looking forward to
hearing from you, but please don’t talk about lion or
any other animal. Your arguments must be based upon
rationalistic approach, supported by facts and logic.
After all, FOTH is a forum of learned, well-informed
and the peace loving people..
