Statistics can be deceiving when they are manipulated.
It comes as no wonder that if we butter one side,
statistics favor that. The butter adds weight, and there
is greater likelihood for the bread to land with the
buttered side down (flat on its face). The more
resources you employ, or people you curry favor with,
the more successful the outcome. Still it is this
probability theory that evolutionists base their claims
on - "even with a .00001 probability, give it zillions
of years, and it is sure to happen" they say.
Statistics can be hilarious. Consider the statistics
professor demonstrating the probability of future cash
flows based on an excel spreadsheet. Every time he would
input a variable into a cell, and the model would
recalculate all the figures and show him the bottom
line. He would then click the undo button, type in
another value and recalculate the bottom line. He did
this several times until the right number came up and he
gave a big smile.
