In regards to Mr. verk’s Question “is a poet
too and every one knows how poets are.” I would like to ask the writer to
explain this phrase further.
Here is
my response.
I have
gone to the different studies conducted by different International
organizations regarding the poet’s contribution for the humanity. Here is the gist
of their research;
“Almost
all the poets are unproductive homo sapiens on the face of this gorgeous
planet.” The essence of their findings is
that most of the poets exhibit parasitic behavior in their practical life.
Let us we take the example of Roomi. His great Matawani is
considered to be equivalent to the last revelation and is called the Persian
Quran. He was a bisexual and had three lads. Deep in the throes of passion for
his tender loves, he used to dance in the streets in a kind of trance and
recite eulogies for his beloved male teenager. He also wrote laudatory poetry
about every limb of his adolescent gay love, giving the impression to the
reader that his beloved teen was a vision of angelic beauty in motion.
Let us validate above investigations about this sponger specie
from the immutable laws of the Quran.
The rhyming of the Qur’anic verses is neither poetry nor prose. It
presents an impressive style of writing, with the highest quality of perfection
and uniformity.
The Qur’an expounds [through Mohammad] the realities of human life
and historical accounts of many previous nations in a remarkable allegorical and
figurative style. Of course, Allah neither taught Mohammad poetry, nor he
behaved like a poet. [36:69]

‘The allegation of Mohammad’s opponents that the Qur’an is a
result of Mohammad’s poetic endeavor is a baseless slur on his excellent
character.
O, Mohammad! Inform them in clear-cut terms that We did not teach
you the art of poetry composition or ode writing [because poets shun the real
life and enjoy the world of their dreams, which is nothing but a kind of
utopia], but we have revealed to you the divine constitution for the benefit of
entire humanity. It is a masterpiece comprising of linguistic exquisiteness,
nobility of conviction and clarity of the subject matter that boosts the
self-confidence of nations and provides them the right stuff for excellent
living in this world and also in the hereafter. The combination of rhyming and
rhythmic selected words produces a prose that leaves an everlasting effect upon
the Arabic understanding reader. Each syllable is properly positioned to get
the idea across with the formation of sentences and the message breathes new
life into dead societies.’
The office of Messenger is highly noble, dignified and exalted,
and shows the right path to the entire humanity for achieving excellence in all
walks of life, whereas poets are a bunch of disorientated individuals who
always stay up on cloud nine and never face the realities of life. In addition,
or in fact, they never practice what they preach. [26:226]

‘Contrary to the program staunchly adopted by a Messenger, poets
express all kinds of views, which they neither believe personally nor
practice.’
In modern times, most of the poets are alcoholics, chain smokers
and possess shady or dubious characters.’
In the chapter entitled, ‘The Poets,’ the Qur’an describes at
length the self-deceptive ‘quality’ of the poets. [26:24]

‘Most of the poets are after fairy tales, imaginary characters,
worthless philosophies and indecent deliberations. They destroy the sanctity of
the written word and seduce their followers to fall in their trap, with the
result of deviation from the right path. Besides becoming self-centered bigots,
their fans never have solid ground under their feet and roam aimlessly in the
world of dreams. The masters of rhythm and rhyming and their avid readers
become slaves of their passions and never face the reality of life. They love
to live in a never-ending dream sequence, because they fear to face
disappointments, which catch up with them sooner or later. Conversely, the
Messengers, their companions and followers solidly adhere to the eternal laws
of the revelation and produce excellent results during their lifetimes.’
In the verse 26:225, the Qur’an comes up with a first-rate
definition of poets who stick to their dream worlds and become slaves of their
unbridled passions and desires.

‘The revelation is free from all kinds of contradictions,
ambiguities and sets in constructive revolution in the minds, as well as lives
of the people.
Mohammad, don’t you watch and comprehend the basic difference
between revelation and poetry? The loyalty of a poet along with his couplets is
dependent upon his vested interest and is often short lived. The magic of their
exaggerated eulogies can raise the status of a person way above the stars, but
if they want they can degrade the same person to be worse than the scum of the
earth. Giving a precise example from rural Arabia, their mental status is like
that of a camel, which suffers from phony thirst and roams in the oasis from
stream to stream in search of water, having no idea what is it looking for.
Similar is the life of a poet, whose biggest assets are exaggeration,
falsification, unknown passions and foggy desires.’
E.W. Lane, in the preface of his Book entitled “Arabic-English
Lexicon,” [page x] has come up with an excellent definition of a poet.
