Dear friends,
I just completed
reading two very long posts, one by my friend
Mr. Javed I. Chaudry and the other by
Mr. Akhtar Sherazi. There seems to be a certain disconnect in
my understanding of how to discuss something and theirs. Please
note that I am saying this with all due respect and then some to
Mr. Sherazi and Mr. Chaudry. I prefer not to leave back the loose
threads hanging in a discussion and continue creating new ones.
For example, when someone makes a claim such as Antony Flew's
conversion was a blow to the evolutionists, he/she must have made
it based on some reasons. I feel it's unfair to make a claim and
then not to share those reasons despite repeated requests. That is
why, for the sake of my better understanding of the issues at
hand, I would like to draw Mr. Chaudry's and Mr. Sherazi's
attention to some unanswered questions that I had asked them
before I respond to their latest posts, which I fully intend to.
1- In
post 413, Mr. Sherazi wrote, "I have gone to the different
studies conducted by different International organizations
regarding the poet’s contribution for the humanity. Here is the
gist of their research; “Almost all the poets are unproductive
homo sapiens on the face of this gorgeous planet.” The essence of
their findings is that most of the poets exhibit parasitic
behavior in their practical life."
In my
post 416, I asked Mr. Sherazi to share with us what different
studies by which international organizations he went to since I
would like to see the data based on which it was concluded that
almost all poets are unproductive Homo sapiens. I am still waiting
for the answer.
2- In
post 420, Mr. Chaudry wrote, "In this verse the word,
‘wadribu-huna’ is the one that has multiple meanings and Quran has
used this word in many other places. Its basic meaning is to
explain assertively, suasively, forcefully using strong
arguments." In response (post
421), I asked Mr. Chaudry to share with us the source of the
claim that the meanings he quoted were basic
meanings of the word in question. In his latest post, Mr. Chaudry
chose not to increase my knowledge by answering my question.
I would request
both the gentlemen to please enlighten us using their obviously
vast knowledge.
Regards,
Rafi Aamer
