I
have read
Mr Akbar Choudhry's and
Dr Qazi's
comments and both gentlemen come across as being extremely eloquent
in defending their respective standpoints. I am inclined to agree
with Mr. Choudhry on practically every issue, though. Belief in
the theory of evolution is no less of a leap of faith than belief in
a religious dogma, and Mr. Choudhry's views only confirm my own
thinking on this matter.
Dr. Qazi, appears to place too much importance on the
diversity of life forms as "evidence" for the theory of evolution.
I fail to see the connection. Can a Creator God not create diverse
life forms? How is the diversity of living organisms scientific
and conclusive evidence for evolutionary theory? Also, how does this
square with the universally acknowledged fact that life emerged
suddenly in all its complexity and diversity in the Cambrian period
of the earth's history?
