I followed
Rafi's
and Arliene's
dialogue with interest. The complexity and design in nature or the
Cosmological and Teleological augments are often advanced by
religious people as proof's of God's existence. Design and
complexity are perceived to be a reality even by avowedly agnostic
or secular people, however they credit other, as yet unproven
phenomena with it. One of these is of course the sentient or
conscious matter theory, built on the premise that matter is capable
of self-organization. If this view is taken to its logical
conclusion, it must acknowledge the existence of a process by which
matter behaves in this fashion.. The process is obviously based on
a system, which points to intelligent direction as an integral part
of that process.
Religion tends to be divisive but
it is not the only cause of friction and discord among individuals,
communities or countries. I couldn't agree more with Arliene's analysis of
the multifaceted dynamics of world politics.
