FAMILY OF THE HEART: Family of the Heart organized a reception for both the Pakistan and India Independence Days on August 13, 2005, AT Bistro Cara Mia. The main feature was the musical program. It was a select gathering and attended by both highly qualified and respectable Indians and Pakistanis. Family of the Heart holds such meeting every month. Leading personalities attend the meetings.

            The purpose was to bring the people of the countries closer. It was also to demonstrate that people of the region love each other and want to live peacefully. The rulers, politicians and extremists were bitterly criticized for creating differences, tension and hatred.

            It was expressed with delight that now positive changes were evident and it seems that tension and hatred will be greatly reduced and finally ended. Taking advantage of the changes, efforts must be made to forget the bitterness of the past and help bring people closer so that they could share sorrows and happiness of each other. 

            Najeeb Kazmi welcomed the audience and highlighted the objective of holding this program. Tabassum Habib was MC of the musical program. She also sang songs. The other singers were Amir, Raja Thakur and Haroon Mahmood. The audience enjoyed the presentations.

            The main speaker was Rakesh Sood also known as Rocky Archy Sood of Raaka International Consultants. He emphasized on holding of such programs and was hopeful that they would benefit the people of both the sides greatly. He said that the touch must now be of South Asian. The communities must join hand to become a great force. Time for differences, conflicts and confrontation has ended. Now we must focus on friendship and peace.

            Rafat Zehra recited a poem on the occasion. Javed Chaudhary also spoke on the occasion and introduced the musical team and other speakers. Dinner was also served.
